Cadbury's Spira

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Cadbury's Spira chocolate bar was a bit like a Twirl but a lot more tasty (well I thought so anyway). I've no idea why they stopped making them as the shops that sold them around where I lived were always selling out of them. I say ditch the Twirl and bring back the Spira!

I loved spiras and i would also like to know why they took these away cause they were so hard to get hold of because as soon as the shop got them in they were gone, they were the best chocolate for drinking tea through lovely!! i say bring back the spira!!

Yep, they were my favourite when they were around, I used to drink tea through them, lol. There was also a very short lived square Cadbury's bar with holes through the middle which could be used in the samre way, that was nice as well.

It's funny, isn't it - There are so many chocolate products which are, well, just chocolate and nothing else, but the texture makes all the difference! I agree, Twirl can't hold a chocolate candle to Spira.

I worked on a project at Cadburys for about a year in 2004 and they were still making Spira bars then. The production line was right outside our project office! Apparently they were only sold in outlets 'up north'.

The link to which you point mummieto2 no longer is able to deliver Spiras. If you try and add one to your basket it will not work. All other products on the site do.
