Big hair

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

In the 1980s, my friends and I tried to make our hair as big & tall as possible. We used hair gel, "Aussie Sprunch Spray" and tons of Aqua Net while blow-drying upside down to get the most volume. And of course, the bangs had to match the rest of the hairstyle & defy gravity! Bad perms were a must, too...

Awwww - little girls look soooo cute with their hair crimped, particularly when set off with a satin mop cap, preferably an off-white or light coloured one.

Our family friend was a hairdresser so my mum used to let her practise her teasing and hairspraying on me and my sister. My sister loved it. I was younger and completely disgusted with the whole thing. I demanded to have my hair cut short so she could never do it again.
