This is Your Life

Long running TV show originally presented by Eamonn Andrews. The idea was that Eamonn Andrews would sneak up on some celebrity or notable person and then present them with a big red book saying "This is Your Life".

The celebrity would then be taken back to the studio where Eamonn would deliver a biography of that person and would introduce friends and relatives at relevant points in the story. Often the friends or relatives had not seen each other for many years so it was an emotional reunion for a lot of the guests.

I went to see This Is Your Life being filmed once at the BBC in London and saw Michael Aspel present Todd Carty from Eastenders with his big red book.
