TAB Clear

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

TAB Clear was suppose to be Coke but clear. The lemonade-looking, Cola-tasting (not quite) soft drink with the 8 wonders of the world advert (TAB Clear as no. 8).

TAB Clear was a strange idea that mysteriously disappeared. Obviously not a success in the UK - but cool all the same.

I still find myself saying 'All will become clear, tab clear', which I guess was their slogan

Don't know what TAB Clear failed - it was lovely. I thought it had a marginally cinammon-like taste to it. Loved it. Hate the people who didn't buy it and forced the makers to drop it. I hate lots of people, clearly...

According to what information I could gather, TaB Clear was Coca-Cola's contribution to the "clear cola" craze during the early '90s. It was introduced in 1993 but proved to be a flop and was pulled after less than a year in the United States and United Kingdom. Launched in 1993 discontinued in 1994. :-(

I think I remember tasting a free sample of TAB clear during it's early 90's re-launch. Just tasted like diet coke to me and I wasn't impressed. One-cals were better. Skinny cans, and had a twist of lemon in their cola long before coke or pepsi!

Finally I've found other people that remember TAB Clear! I'd started to think that I had imagined this fantastic drink that used to send me hyperactive. My mum banned me from drinking it, but I'd manage to sneak to the shops and buy it. Then one day it just disappeared!!! I've been lost ever since without my weekly fix!
