TAB

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

TAB was introduced as a diet drink in 1963 by Coca-Cola so was the original Diet Coke of our time. Apparently, it was so called because it helped people to keep a tab on what they were consuming if on a diet. Later came TAB Clear.

I remember this in the late 70s then it disappeared and it came back for a while in the 90s and renamed Tab Clear as it was colourless, then that vanished as well.

I really liked this in the 70s. Sorry you can't buy it now. It was kind of like Coke, but a bit sweeter.

I remember this. My sister got diagnosed diabetic in the 70s and had to have it instead of coke. Like Phil says, pointless when there's no sugar and no caffeine! Coke Fail.

A while after Coca Cola released the own branded Diet Coke, Decaffeinated Diet Coke also came out. The only two reasons to drink the stuff - sugar and caffeine - removed! Couldn't stand the stuff myself.
