Boo Boo Dolls

Boo Boos were made by Hornby in 1986. They were little chubby pixies based on the Mabel Lucie Attwell drawings. These little guys (and later gals!) looked after Baby Twinkle (a doll in a treestump crib 'abondoned' in the forest) and her puppy.

Boo Boos had glow in the dark antennae, shoes and came with appropriate accessories to match their names ('Tidy' had a broom, 'Playful' had a rattle and 'Tuneful' had a record)!

How cute! I love eighties toys. this was when my little sister was small and I'd got into my "I really want toys still but I'm too old" phase. Thankfully I've grown out of all that nonsense now!

For some reason Boo Boo Care just popped into my head tonight! Can remember getting the doll and some pixies one xmas. Wish I had held onto them, they were so adorable! Cannot believe how expensive they are on ebay! I'm 30 now but the little girl in me would love to get my hands on them again!

I had Baby Twinkle and her Bed and Two little Boo Boos. They were fantastic, I think they always were my favourite toys. They used to have two beds at the bottom of the Babys Bed with bed covers and chairs etc. Does anyone know how to get hold of any of there. I'm not sure what happended to mine and I miss them.

I loved the Boo Boos and used to play with them with all the lights out or under the covers so I could see them glowing in the dark. My obsession with them led me to research Attwell history and start collecting the original Boo Boo books and postcards. I now have a complete Hornby set still in it's packaging and a huge Attwell/Boo Boo collection....hmmm
