Patent leather shoes

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Patent leather shoes were a must have fashion accessory of the 80s. They had to have a decent shine on them so you could see your face in them, and they were best with a big gold coloured buckle on.

I gor a pair of burgundy patent leather shoes for the junior school christmas party. I took them out of the box to look at them abo9ut a hundred times. Whenever I see burgundy patent leather it takes me back to that special time and the magic of xmas.

I remember a friend of mine having lovely shiny patent leather shoes at primary school, and me being insanely jealous because I wasn't allowed them (to be fair, I always managed to scuff the toes of my clumpy Clark's within 5 minutes so I can see why). They also had a pretty flower design on the sole too, instead of the boring old stripes, and she even had two different colours! Black and burgundy ones. It all seemed very unfair when I was 6.
