Hamlet Cigars advert

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

They were the best adverts around. My favourite Hamlet Cigar ad was the 2 naked lovers at the beach running towards each other in slow motion. When they finally got to embrace the woman had her lovers 'hairy chest' stuck to her chest and she squealed in horror. Cue the Hamlet music :)

That they're not on anymore is the downside of the anti-smoking drive. Anyone old enough to remember them has a favourite, mine is where the labrador pup runs off with the loo-roll. The message of the ads wasn't that Hamlets were for losers, more that they were a comfort when things went wrong.

the ultimate one was this guy was in a park and needed to go to the toilet... you only saw his lower half of his body running around looking for a toilet, then he gets to the public loo and its closed... he sparks up a cigar (you see smoke) and then back down to his legs you see a trickle of urine coming down... "happiness is a hamlet cigar"

I loved the add for Hamlet Cigars when the Yuppie drives up in a Ferrari to the gate where you pay for your parking fee, and he see's a georgeous girl and revs his engine and beeps his horn....then gets wiped out from the down gate!

I always thought that the best "Hamlet" cigar adverts were the ones with Gregor Fisher (Rab C Nesbitt) in the photo booth with the comb-over problem...... cue Hamlet music
