Gentlefolk Jeans/Denim

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

These were fantstic in the 70s. A Wels company made them and we could buy thm from a shop in on of the arcades in Cardiff. They were really original. I still have a little denim waistcoat but wsh I'd kept the jeans. I often try on eBay to see if anyone has a pair stuffed away in a cupboard they don't want. Anyone else remember them?

Yes, I am proud to say, I owned a pair of gentle folks jeans when I was 13/14 yrs of age. They were all the rage at the time. If I recall....they had plaited denim on the top of the ass pockets. Never knew till today though...they were produced in Wales. Being Welsh myself, makes me appreciate them even more :)

Hi Glynne. It’s Mike/Mickey Cottier’s daughter, Lucy. Funny seeing you here! I hope you are well. I have not seen you since my dads funeral in 2008. My mum has lovely memories of painting the shop. If you have any memories or pictures of my dad, please let me know. My email address is: Lucycornetto@gmail.com
