I recall Freezie Freakies being the biggest thing since sliced bread when they first came out (come to think of it, I still covet them). Freakie Freezies were gloves that had a character or design on them that would appear when the temperature became cold. There were a variety of different designs available (I had the one that exposed a Stegosaurus skeleton when the weather got cold). When left in the sun, the pattern would "burn out" and the gloves no longer worked as well.

    can remember the t-shirts that changed colour, but not the gloves...

    When the gloves get cold the change colors. They were a hot item for kids to have in the 80's.

    I remember the commercial where you heard a voice say "OH NO! They're changing again!" And the gloves would change in the cold. I think I had Frankensteins Labratory and the monster would appear when I got out in cold weather.
