Clapperboard

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Clapperboard was a film show for children fronted by a very young Chris Kelly before (long before) he went on to grow up with us to present Food and Drink. The Children's Film Foundation and its products got a good airing here and this is where we saw Phil Collins as a film star before he took up the drums with Genesis.

Late in the day, but exactly, Zokko! I remember being fascinated by and learning from William Goldman talking about scriptwriting - and now I'm an author! I think the modern stars would consider themselves too big, or ask for too much money, to appear in a mere kids show now.

'Clapperboard' was great. Where else on kids' T.V. could you find Jacques Tati, Richard Attenborough, Edward Fox, Gloria Grahame, William Goldman, and Ron '633 Squadron' Goodwin?
