Playdoh Barber Shop

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

The Playdoh Barber Shop was the BEST toy made by Playdoh. There were several hollow plastic heads that you pushed the playdough inside and it would "grow" out of the holes in the heads. Then you could cut and style it!

If you stuck a ball of different coloured playdough in their head you could get a decent punk hairdo out of them!

My kids loved this play dough set. One of my daughters is now owner and operator of her own beauty salon. Karen Nov. 29th 2010

I remember getting this one christmas. My mum was helping me put the stickers on the characters. She thought it would be funny to stick the womans face on the bearded plastic character. I was not impressed. I had to trim a bearded lady! This may explain why I have become so mixed up in later life...

This was the best playset that Playdoh ever made. The new version just isn't as good at all.

I remember when my parents bought me this thing when I was 7 or 8. It was a lot of fun, but I was never able to create a good hair style.

This was one of my favourites. There was something strangely satisfying about forcing their hair to grow! The first thing I remember reall is my mum shouting "Don't take that in the front room!" but of course I did, and it ended up in the carpet. Funny how I've never bought it for my own kids!!!

As a young boy i enjoyed playing with this. My parents didnt like it to much when bits of dough ended up squashed into the carpet. It was really hard to get it out from under your fingernails aswell. I have bought the new version for my own son but the quality is nowhere near as good as i remember.
