Midnight Mint Choc Ice

Tell me I'm not crazy but does anyone else in Scotland, England, Ireland or Wales remember a Choc Ice called something like 'Midnight Mint' from the 1970's? Funnily enough it was mint flavoured, possibly with a plain chocolate coating and it came in a dark wrapper with an owl on the front.

No you are not crazy. I worked at Walls before 1970 and we made Midnight Mint Choc Ices exactly as you describe. One of my favourite ices. I wish that they would revive it. Fond memories from Charlieboy.

Loved them! Why were they ever withdrawn? They were so popular and always sold out if you didn't get one soon after delivery in our corner shop. After school treat!

I was walking home from primary school with 2 mates in the 70s and we found a £1 note so we went to the newsagents and bought 3x Midnight Mint choc ices. Awesome!

Bicho. I probably bought a few from you in the beaches in Gib. Midnight mint was my favourite. Smooth white minty cream with a dark chocolate coating and a green paper wrapper. Delicious. I wonder if they'll ever make it again.

I certainly remember Midnight Mints - the smoothest, whitest mint flavoured ice cream surrounded by dark chocolate. Heaven! They were 12p and my weekly pocket money was 10p, back in the day when you could get a good double handful of sweeties for 10p. (Of course my hands were smaller then.) The first thing I ever saved up for was a Midnight Mint. I do wish they would bring them back!

I remember midnight mint choc ices well. My Mother was addicted to them and I was always running over to the village shop to get her one!!! Dark chocolate, black wrapper (I think) with an owl on the wrapper. Very soft white minty ice cream

Yes I remember selling these on the beachs in GIBRALTAR in an ice cooler walls ice cream box for pocket money as a kid. I ate more than I sold and they were white mint ice cream covered in dark chocolate dark wraper with owl in tree print. You could really taste the mint and chocolate. What happen to them ?

I remember being on holiday with my cousins in 1980 and all of us counting our money each day to see if we had enough to buy a midnight mint. The quiet satisfaction sitting on the beach eating them...brings back good memories.
