Lil' Miss Makeup

Li'l Miss Makeup was a pretty doll. You could play with her hair, but what was so neat about her was that you could put makeup on her using hot and cold water. There were later versions of this same doll where you could change the color of her hair as well.

Li'l Miss Makeup was part of the Mattel Lil Miss 'n' Me series that also included Li'l Miss Magic Jewels, L'il Miss Magic Hair, Li'l Miss Dress Up, Li'l Miss Candi Stripes and Li'l Miss Mermaid.

I remember being fascinated by the TV commercials for this doll, though I never asked for one. My sister had Lil Miss Mermaid, I think, and I remember how much fun we both had playing with her in water (in the pool, or at the sink in the bathroom!). She had an inflatable sea-horse ring, a beautiful blue tail and long, white curly hair. Cute!

I was wondering if anyone has a list of the makeup artists that created her face. I think one of my friends was the artist in the 90's. His name was Jason Jefferies. He has passed away. I would love to hear something on this subject. Thanks, Tonya

I still have my ''Lil' Miss'' Dolls. They are so cute! I love them! I got the third doll from the line, Triple Change Lil' Miss Makeup, and the fifth doll, Lil' Miss Magic Jewels! When my makeup doll no longer responded to temperature I would apply makeup to her face. Whenever I visit my parents,I change their lipstick, nail polish, and hair!

I love lil' miss makeup! I also have lil' miss mermaid and lil' miss magic hair. I'm currently buying a lil' miss mermaid and magic hair for keepsakes. I can't seem to find lil' miss makeup anywhere. They should come back out with these dolls so I could buy some for all the little girls in my family.

I use to walk this kid to the bus-stop, and I remember she either wanted Lil' Miss Makeup for her birthday or Christmas. I thought it was just a doll that you put make-up on like those old glamour-heads until I read the above description.
