Kissyfur

A classic children's cartoon from the mid-80s starring an 8 year old bear cub called Kissyfur.

Kissyfur had escaped from the circus with his father following a train derailment and ended up in the wetlands of Paddlecab County. It wasn't easy for the pair to be accepted in to the Paddlecab animal community until they saved some of the locals from the evil alligators Jolene and Floyd.

The voice of Kissyfur was provided by R.J. Williams who also did the voice of Cavin in Gummi Bears.

Kissyfur was so popular that the toys ended up being flogged with Happy Meals courtesy of McDonalds. All of the favourite characters were there in plastic form including Beehonie, Duane, Floyd, Gus, Jolene, Kissyfur and Lennie.

Kissyfur was a big part of my life. He was a large part of my child hood. Thought I dubbed his my younger brother (in my imaginary world where I lived with the Thundercats and the Voltron force), he became a strong influence to my life. May my little bro live on in memory forever!

I had gotten a Kissyfur teddy bear on my 4th B-day right before we moved. I remeber how excited I was to get it, but somehow it never made it to our new house in the move... :( If anyone has one to sell, stick it on ebay! I want my teddy bear back...
