Fresca

Fresca was a drink I remember my mum buying and I was never allowed to have any. The advert featured a couple drinking "Fresca" which caused their sunglasses to freeze over. The Fresca can had a light green-aquamarine background with snowflakes on and "Fresca" in yellow lettering.

My Mum informs me it tasted something like 7-Up and some sort of citrus tangy fruit like grapefruit that was very bitter.

Really miss this drink,Tesco used to do a grapefruit squash which was a bit like Fresca if you made it up with fizzy water. I keep searching for it,but probably in vain.

Yes, the can was blue with snowflakes - nothing like the one above.

WOW - can you REALLY still get Fresca in the States. My partner and I argued the other night about this; he thinks I was making it up..... but proof HAH. I used to love it, grapefruit flavour and not too sweet but not too bitter - oh wonderful.

My Brit mate in the U.S still drinks this. She said to me the first time I went there...'do you wanna Fresca'? I said 'Fresca? Blimey...when's the sell-by date'! She forgot that they used to sell it over here until about the late 70's! It still tastes like it did. I remember the can being a bit different to the one shown, (that's the American one, shown). The can was baby blue with snow flakes on it. I can remember when R Whites cans had bubbles all over them as well...which some how made them more appealing as a child!
