Potato Puffs were a sort of crisp manufactured by Burton Biscuits. The came in varieties of Ready Salted, Cheese and Onion and Salt and Vinegar. I'm sure that they have gone out of production now but who knows... if enough people remember them and still want them, there could be a Potato Puff revival! You have missed out the best one of all, tomato sauce flavour. Great taste and red fingers lol, ate them every day from 1959 to 1963.

i remember potato puffs from my 1960's school days when they were on sale in the 'tuck shop'. We only had plain ones in a red packet. they were like blistered pieces of lightly salted potato with a buttery taste. Of course the shop also did well selling Burton's wagon wheels too and Macdonalds chocolate marshmallows.

All of this is familiar to me - I loved potato puffs and wagon wheels - only remember plain potato puffs in a red bag - not really sure why they haven’t made them since - very finely puffed potato envelopes that quickly collapsed and disintegrated in your mouth following the initial crunch. I used my bus money to buy a Waggon Wheel - always worth the walk home - probably 5K in today’s terms and I was 6 when I realised I could make that swap

I have emailed Burtons on two occasions, and the reply I got back was that they no longer had the machine that made the potato puffs to produce these, I have sent a third email saying surely if they invested in a new machine they would certainly make profits on the sale of potato puffs in the shops, if you google contact burtons there is an email address you can send a short message up to 500 characters, the more people who contact them, the better chance we have of getting these great snacks back into the shops.

I'll email them as well. I'm sure that if lots of people do they'll see that they'd be so popular that a new machine would pay for itself

I would love to be able to get some potato puffs. My mom used to buy them by the box for us kids. I would love to give my children, grandchildren and my great grandson the chance to try these puffs. I’m sure if you made them again they would be a great seller
