Skateboards SKATEBOARDS

Banana Skateboards

The good ol' banana board hey! My sister's boyfriend gave her his and she didn't like it so gave it to me for Christmas. I adored this thing and I just used to sit on it and use my hands to move along for hours! However, one very sad day the steering bit at the back snapped off. The wheels rocked too, they were huge! I'd pay good money for one again.

my aunt brought me a blue one from the united states in 1974 when i was 6 years old - from that day I had many fiends who where even double aged I felt like a star but, I was the chief of the streets. it was probably the first skateboard in my neighbourhood (in germany). the fun ended when my mom got a call from the hospital, the board disappeard. I would love to ride one of these boards again (with protektion-gear)

Hello. My aunt brought one of these boards 1974 from the united states to germany as a present for me. I was 6 years-old and I had suddenly best friends who where double aged, so I felt like a star - because this was probably the first skateboard in my city. my skateboard carreer ended very soon, because my mother had to pick me up from the hospital... I would like to get a board like this again..I dont remember what happened with the board

Not only do i remember banana boards, i still have my pepsi banana board won in a skateboard comp in 1977. i have dug it out of the garage so my 12 yo son can learn to board. it's great watching him skate around the street on a 30 yo relic board.

I loved this board. I't was in the early 70's. I'm 44 now. I rode this thing everywhere. Even on the observation deck of the World trade Center NYC. It was one tuff board and fast too. That yellow plasic board, wide red weels and kick on one side. I remember it well. I can see it in my hand. I think mine was stolen. Does anyone know who made this board? Was it Wham-o? What was written on it(Maybe Wham-o). For some reason I remember that to be it.

I had a banana skateboard when I was 11 or 12 years old (I'm now 42) and I remember riding it down the hill where I lived (our house was at the top of the hill). I only had it 1 or 2 months before it got stolen out of my front yard. I do remember my mom wasn't too crazy about me learning to ride it, but I really wanted it, and I think I ended up paying for it myself. I was just telling my daughter about the skateboard, too. LOL
