Opening to Glen Freys 'The Heat is on' does anyone remember the info video played in school about the kids who meddled with electricity. The kite in the pylon, the frying kid smashing up the generator with the baseball bat -"he was my best friend" one lad sobbed. Also recall a lad cooking at a power sattion after trying to get a football back. Really shocking stuff ensured I never messed with lecy!

    Yep, that's part of a film that was shown in schools around the late 70's called Play Safe. If you go on You Tube you can see the whole thing, which is truly creepy in places!I didn't see the whole thing at school although I do remember that particular bit during the school hols

    who remembers the electric safety advert where the boy goes into the electric power station to get his frisbee back and the advert ended with the girl screaming "JIMMY". My class at school had to watch that advert

    we were shown the whole series of these videos when my class went to "Operation: Street wise" way back in the 90's. I remember the young lad getting the football, then his friend went in to see what happened and leant on something and he got it too... Brutal stuff but it got the point accross!
