Over the Brink

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

It was a tug of war game where you had a bridge with a gap in the middle and a man at each end holding onto a rope. You rolled a dice and turned a crank to pull your opponent over the brink. Me and my bro had it in the 1970's. never seen it since.

I thought I was going mad, I'm in my 40s now but had this game back in the 1970s. I was telling my friends about it but they said I imagined it. I thing the main part of it was yellow with red and blue men.

I remember this game fondly! I got it for Christmas in the early '70s. I remember playing it with my brother next to the Christmas tree while we munched on our Life Savers from the Sweet Storybook assortments they seel around the holidays. Pretty basic game...roll the dice and the high roller got to turn the crank that number of times to pull the opponent's players over the waterfall. You each had a wild card so to speak that you could play once and double the number you rolled on the dice. This added a small element of strategy. Really fun game when you're 7-8 years old. Very fond memories of that Christmas! Thank you.

Just Googled Over The Brink and found this. Yes, I had it too. Seem to remember that it was decided by drawing cards. We used to name each plastic player after a teacher from school
