Toys TOYS

Mother Goose

Mother Goose was one of the tape recorder toys that became popular for a while in the 80's. She was hard plastic, covered in plush material, and I think it was on the back that a velcroed flap of plush could be pulled back to reveal the tape recorder. Mother Goose had tapes that went with her, and when played, her mouth moved to have her "tell" the story.

These toys were pretty heavy for a child, and unfortunately weren't very huggable because of the hard plastic. Mother Goose was one of the better made toys of this type in quality.

My neighbor had one and a Teddy Ruxpin too. She really like the Mother Goose more because it reminded her of her deceased grandmother.
