One of the first concerts I ever saw was David Bowie. But he was not the headline act! He was the support act for rock and blues band The Groundhogs, and at that point he had only really scored a big hit with "Space Oddity". Of course, he went on to become part of the Glam movement, going on from there to be known for his ability to grow and change with the musical times. A huge influence on popular music, Bowie will always remain an important part of pop and rock music. Funny, no one seems to believe me these days when I tell them that I saw David Bowie playing live to a half filled Brighton Dome....

My older brother bought Hunky Dory on LP in the mid-70s. I got the tape myself ( it's still around ) when I moved into a flat for the first time & have the CD now ! Recommended listening.
