Cadbury's Creme Eggs

I just remember that Creme Eggs used to be bigger, thicker and much cheaper than they are today. And you usually couldn't buy them until Easter-time, which made you so eager for one as soon as they became available again that you'd buy loads and eat four or so a day until you couldn't take any more! They had them on sale in our local ASDA store in January. Of course, when you didn't have Creme Eggs, you could get the Cadbury's Creme Teddy Bears. Mmmmm. Just as good!

Got a packet of three of these at school for an egg-decorating contest one Easter. Girls who won the hat-decorating contest got a full-size Easter egg. I was so envious. Wasn't there a TV ad where someone opened one at breakfast with a spoon, thinking it was a boiled egg?

I find these far too sweet. What I really miss are the toffee and mallow eggs - I adored those, but they disappeared in the 80s, never to be seen again!

Yes - I remember Toffee and Mallow eggs - they were amazing. I have looked everywhere for them but with no luck.

I wish they'd stop messing about with these! I bought 2 bags of the mini Creme Eggs and they were HORRIBLE! I was SO disappointed because I've loved Creme Eggs since the good old days when they only cost 8 - 10p.

I used to love these eggs when I was young but now I can hardly eat them, they're so sickingly sweet.

I remember the ad well....children bursting into a sweet shop screaming 6,000 Cadburys cream eggs please.
