Birds Eye Rissoles

These were breadcrumb-coated "burgers" of minced meat, onion and various other fillers (I remember seeing a bit of pearl barley in there too), and I liked them very much. Why don't Birds Eye bring them back? I know they would sell really well, I myself would buy loads for my freezer and my grandkids would absolutely love them. So come on Birds Eye, why not bring them back! They were a regular menu item in my house in the 70s up until the early 80s, when they sadly disappeared.

I absolutely adored these. I've messaged Birds Eye today and asked them to bring them back, or at least, give us the recipe.

They were a lunchtime constant in the 1970s when I was at secondary. I remember they were very highly spiced - who knows what the meat was? This also reminds me that Trumpton or similar was on at 1.30. It was such a novelty to have TV on in the daytime I used to watch it!

I absolutely loved them! Always with chips and frozen (obviously cooked lol) peas ! The Co-Op sold something similar in the 80's which were a sort of chop shape and were about 70p for a pack of 8 so was quite a cheap meal
