Batfink

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Batfink was a very poorly animated but very entertaining cartoon from the people who brought you "Roger Ramjet".

Each episode lasted about 5 minutes and featured a superhero man-sized bat with metal wings "they cannot harm me, my wings are like a shield of steel!" and his Japanese sidekick imaginatively called "karate!"

Never forget his arch nemesis Hugo Agogo a mad scientist. He created bank robbing robots etc. Batfink would be able to find then and chase them down with his sonic beeps. Yes it was a very cheap animation, but always entertaining.

I thought his companion was called 'Ah So'. 'Batfink' was a pun on the 'Ratfink' characters popular in mid-'60s America. Didn't his creators also do 'Tom Slick' as well?
