Automan

Automan was ACE! I have no idea about how automan came into existence, why he was there, in fact I seem to not remember the fundamentals for many things in life. However, I do remember that he looked like he was from Tron, and had a little friend called "Cursor" that could draw vehicles for him to drive. He was like a person from Tron, but in real life. Oh, and his car used to turn at right-angles. That was weird.

This series was cool. But maybe knight rider . Street hawk or airwolf didn't like the fact he could copy their vehicles. Maybe even tron might have complained about copyright. I enjoyed the series but it was short lived.

Great programme. I used to wonder why no one ever commented on the strange blue glow emanating from the sleeves of his suits.

I used to love this show. It's a shame it's never been repeated. Liked the way he'd sometimes wear clothes to disguise what he really looked like and called himself "Otto Man"

Yay. Like Manimal. I was nearly convinced I'd made this whole series up in my head as no-one ever seemed to remember it. I think it ran for 6 episodes. Then they ran out of budget. Nice.

Remeber Arnaz' face pressed against the glass when the car turned a corner, what a hoot. Came out around the same time as StreetHawk and one or two other classics....

Yes right-angles! It was a blue Lambourghini and it was well cool. I seem to recall that Automan was created by a programmer who was also in each episode. They'd recount his origins each week in the credits and I especially liked the way they showed the programmer pressing 'enter' to submit the automan program he'd just comlpleted then seeing automan instantly appear - priceless!
