Rock Follies

The trials and tribulations of a all-girl trio trying to make it big in the seedy world of the UK pop scene. Starred Julie "Dont-cry-for-me-Argentina" Covington, Rula "Don't-cry-for-me-Dennis-Waterman" Lenska and another woman who (rather like the drummer from Bros) was such a spare part in the group that I cant remember much about her.

My friends and I used to play Rock Follies in the playground at lunch-break which comprised swearing a lot, being really bitchy to each other and singing a few squeaky rock ballads to the puzzled dinner ladies! lol.

I well remember it, my sister was a huge fan so that's how I came to watch it. I think the band got their name from the night club where they first got together, which had a moving neon sign of three jiving girl singers. I was put off it at the time by it's vaguely feminist undertones, although I liked some of the music and actually still have the soundtrack LP from the series- they are available on eBay if anyone else would like one!

Red-haired Charlotte Cornwell was the 3rd member of the Follies.
