You used to be able to get small rolls of about 9 or so Horlicks tablets wrapped in blue foil with a paper label rolled around. I used to buy them as a young girl from the local swimming pool after a swimming session. Delicious! I used to buy them from local chemist as a child, they were yummy. I so wish they were still made.

I remember buying Horlicks tablets in the 1950s. They were sold in oblong tins, cream with blue lettering, sealed with blue tape. The tin contained two packets of oblong tablets wrapped in greaseproof paper. Loved them and still miss them.
Also Ovaltine tablets in a round tin sealed with orange tape - both obtained from chemist's.
Can anyone else remember these tins?

Oh these were wonderful! My sister and I used to buy them from the chemist's in town. These days they are more keen to sell you products that keep you awake rather than induce sleep. Say's alot about today, I guess!
