Adagio

When I was a teenager the older women at work told me to buy Adagio from the pharmacy on my way home. They said my boyfriend would melt in my arms and so I did. He didn't make any remarks that night, but he smiled a lot. Adagio came in a small bottle and it was sweet smelling. Adagio was an Avon brand, I remember it very well as the most popular girl in high school wore it. As my aunt sold Avon, I was quick to ask her for it. I used it, the bottle ran out and there it stayed. I never smelt it on anyone again until one day in Liverpool I got a tester of Amour Amour by Cacherel, it smells very similar but I think Adagio was better. By the way, does anyone know where I can get it?

I used Adagio by Fiona Sands from the day I started work until I had my first child in 1969 at that point it made me feel sick. I stopped using it. But I have fond memories of this perfume .

I'm just researching 60's perfume for my new novel and remembered Adagio, so was hoping it fitted the time scale and it does. Brings back nice memories of those wonderful teenage years.

I loved Adagio too but I seem to remember it as a spray, a bit like todays body sprays. I keep checking the web hoping that it may be resurrected one day!

It was a lovely perfume - came in a small bottle and featured a long haired lady walking through misty long grass. I wish I could find it again now!
