Griddles

KP Griddles were very, very strong beef flavoured crisps that had a naff slogan, "...with the holes in the middles." They were basically corn snacks from the 80's that were not too popular. This was probably because they suffered from that typical early 80s corn snack problem of the bright orange flavouring depositing itself in solid lumps at the bottom of the bag which made you sick, rather than spreading evenly over the surface of the snack. Strange taste...

Griddles were crisps and I'm beginning to think I imagined them - nobody else remembers them! They were beef-flavoured squares and I loved them. I remember being in class when I was about 7 and I had a packet under the desk. There I was sneakily shoving Griddles into my mouth, when the teacher called me to the front of the class. Because I had been so engrossed in eating my Griddles, I hadn't realised that my mum had arrived in my classroom to take me home because my sisters had been diagnosed with the Mumps. And to add insult to injury, I dropped the rest of my Griddles!

I remember griddles, I also loved chicken waffles (3d meshy things). Anyway the griddles were square and on the front of the packet had a lad holding a packet of griddles! Remember it just like yesterday! They were 10p in those days.
