This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Boris the Spider was one of my toys years ago where you had a spider, a web and a gun. Boris the Spider would come towards you and you had to shoot him to stop the spider. If the spider got to your end of the web he won but if he didn't, you won.

    action man brought out its own version of this called "stop gorgon". t'was a kind of armoured dinosaur thingy but the principle was the same. the eyes used to glow red when you 'shot' it.

    I remember this game from the very early 80s. It was actually called "Stop Boris" and was a real disappointment because you had to be within about 2 feet of it to stop the spider!! My best mate's nickname was Boris, so you can imagine the fun we had with that! Ah the 70s....... Tartan trousers and t-shirts printed to look like you were wearing a waistcoat (or was that just me??)

    My mate got one of these for his tenth birthday,I can still remember how excited he sounded on the phone when he rang me to invite me over to see it. After about 15 minutes of low quality "action" we both looked at each other as if to say "this is actually quite rubbish isn't it ?"

    My sister received Boris from 'father christmas' one year. It lasted 2 days. She kept 'shooting' me with the gun, rather than the spider and my dad thought that I could go blind with the infa-red laser (red light bulb!!) and he hid it and could never remember where he put it!! 20 years later my sister is still going on about it. If anyone know where I can get one I'd love to know!!
