Club Biscuits

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

# If you like a lotta chocolate on your biscuit join our club #

Need I say more?

Well, actually I will - how did you eat it? I used to bite all the chocolate from all round the outside edges and then munch it. Yum!

Do Club Biscuits no longer exist? I didn't know they'd been discontinued. Bummer :-( I used to have one in my packed lunch quite regularly - they were great

Firstly, I have to ask the question, WHY? why did they remove the best ever chocolate biscuit a girl ever indulged in. I consider myself lucky to have had the experience of the wonderful orange ones. The children of the future have been denied the bliss of chewing round the edge of all that glorious chunky chocolate. I was a child of about nine when along with our school milk, we were then able to buy either a milk choc or orange biscuit. It was from then I was irritrievably hooked. Can we not start a campaign to reintroduce these long loved (and needed) confectionary treats?

Are you saying that it did exist Ian ???? I've looked all over the internet for the old jingles etc, and all I can find is the "if you like a lot of choc.... etc, etc"... This is driving me insane. I am on the verge of writing to Jacob's to ask them lol...

I swear on my life there was an old Club advert that had a jingle along the lines of "they're thick as a brick and chocolatey.. club-a, club-a, club-a, club-a, club, club.. but none of my mates believe me. Please someone put me out of my misery and confirm it for me?!!?

They have really ruined them now, haven't they. I was fascinated if I ate the chocolate off sometimes first you then got a whole biscuit in its own right called 'finger cream', and like kit kats nowadays, every now and then you'd get one with half or all missing and get a whole block of chocolate instead. They should have done both officially.

Clubs were nice, especially the mint ones....but come on, Trio's were better!! With that scary little cartoon girl in the adverts and inside the wrapper!! The Toffee ones were the best!!

One thing about Clubs that seems to get overlooked is the coating. There was a time in the early eighties when it was a chocolate flavoured coating. After a few years it went back to the original chocolate coating.
