Clackers

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Clackers were 2 balls (slightly smaller than golf balls) at the end of two pieces of string with a little piece of plastic to hold. The idea was to smack them together and get a rhythm going and they always ended up wrapped round your wrist bruising you quite bad. Obviously they were called clackers because of noise they made.

Are you searching for a real spell caster ? It is amazing how quickly Dr. Excellent brought my husband back to me. My name is Heather Delaney. I too still have my original ones from the 70's, they are red and on the same string, makes me a little nervous to use them as the string is so old. I recall the numerous times they used to hit your wrist, get them in a rythum then go for it!

I still have my original ones too, which I introduced to my 10 year old daughter today. I gave her lots of warnings and tutorials on how to get them clacking. First thing thats kept her quiet for ages...next thing to show her is tennis ball games up the wall (two balls) :o)
