James

Indie britpop sounds of the late 80s & early 90s. James are best known for their re-release of "Sit Down" (the original 12" has an intriguing fade-out of 'Lester Piggott' being sung over & over).

Tim Booth the lead singer has a distinctive voice, and an even more distinctive style of dance (thrashing about with his hair flying).

My favourite memory was at Aston Villa Leisure Centre (4th Oct 91), when Jim Glennie jumped off stage and gave me a kiss - one of my best and slushiest student moments!
