Vic Reeve's Big Night Out

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

I didn't find Vic Reeves funny at first, but by the end of the first series, I truly thought it was hysterical. Novelty Island, Mr. Lister, Wavey Davey, The Stotts, The Man With The Stick and Judge Nutmeg were my faves. Many an afternoon at college were spent shouting "Whats on the end of the xtick, Vic?" Odd, I know, but funny.

My brother, who is 6 years older than me, introduced me to this when I was about 13 and I instantly became a fan. The early characters were the best - Les and his love of spirit levels and fear of chives, Judge Nutmeg, Novelty Island and Wavy Davey. I've loved them ever since. Class.

i was only about 11 when i first watched him, and i was up late on a friday night and i flicked over and saw the first episode from almost the very beggining and i was hooked straight away. It was like nothing i've ever seen before and i just remeber laughing till i hurt. I had the book (Vic Reeve's Big Night In) his album, I will Cure You, and many other bits of parafernalia. wheni was 12 he was my hero. Still funny now but when you see him on bbc2 you feel he's lost that edge that he had before he was undiscovered. And the Live VHS was brill, a moment of comedy genius.
