The Forest Rangers

The Forest Rangers was a Canadian TV series that got shown over here during the 1960's. I always associate it with Sunday evening tea as that was when it was on. The Forest Rangers was about a group of kids (the forest rangers) that lived/hung out in a fort in the middle of a forest. The rangers had a Indian guide called Joe, an old-time man of the woods type and were also friends with the Sheriff. Every week they would get involved in some adventure or other, usually with some mystery to be solved or person to be saved.

Thank you! I have been trying without success to get someone to remember this programme for years, and was begining to think I had imagined it. I didn't even know it's name, just that it was about children living in a log cabin in a forest and that there was an Indian called Joe. Back in the 60's my friends and I used to re-enact episodes in the school playground, everyone wanted to be Joe.One episode stands out in my mind of a little girl having a wobbly tooth pulled out by tying string to and and also to a door handle. Ouch! Must have made a big impression on a 5 year old.
