Bad Manners

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Bad Manners were fronted by the massive bald singer Buster Bloodvessel (what were his parents thinking of calling him that?). The music was a mix of ska and two-tone and had some success in the UK charts such as "My Girl Lollipop".

They were essentially a fun band, who didn't want to be taken too seriously- they were hugely popular with Mods and Two-Tones. Buster used to revel in dressing up in outrageous fancy dress, I remember him dressed as King Henry VIII in their video for 'Lorraine'! He also appeared as compere at the Grammy awards in '83 dressed up as a Commissionaire. After the band's break-up, he opened a hotel on the South Coast called 'Fatty Towers', specially designed to cater for overweight guests. He later appeared in an internet server ad., though I forget for which company.
