Rowntrees Jungilees

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

The advert was probably Alan Randall doing his seventies copy of of George Formby. I can only remember "Rowntrees Jungilees are new and nice to eat" from the adverts on the box. They came in a card-type box and my mum only bought them once if memory serves me correctly. Kinda like jellybabies in animal shapes then?

'Jolly jelly junglies are new and lots of fun....' I can still hear the man singing it now! (Is it on YouTube??). The sweets were pretty boring - just jelly animals, but funny how the advert lives on in my mind..
