Rancheros

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

These were delicious crisps - they were kinda BBQ beef flavour, the only thing similar to them now are bacon snacks sold by Marks and Spencers - not sure who made them though.

I loved these. Used to walk up to the off license as a kid in Newport Wales which was on the side of the pub to buy these. Remember bacon and bean flavour and eating them watching the Sweeney on TV. Aahhh those were the days.

If you're not in Ireland, can't get your hands on a pack and want to reminisce, the smell and taste of a belch after a Quorn Bacon "Style" Slice is identical to that after a pack of rancheros... of course that'll probably make not having them that much more distressing. ( A Quorn Bacon "Style" slice is an edible insole packaged with bacon scent. )

Rancheros were the best! As I remember them, you could get bacon flavour or sausage and pea (although it may have been pork and bean) which were the best ones

Rancheros are still on sale in Ireland. Whenever someone comes over to the UK to visit, I get them to bring a few multi-packs. Can't understand why they're not sold here ... they're delicious!
