Potato Puffs were a sort of crisp manufactured by Burton Biscuits. The came in varieties of Ready Salted, Cheese and Onion and Salt and Vinegar. I'm sure that they have gone out of production now but who knows... if enough people remember them and still want them, there could be a Potato Puff revival! You have missed out the best one of all, tomato sauce flavour. Great taste and red fingers lol, ate them every day from 1959 to 1963.

I remember these really well from my school days in the early 70s. Had a bag nearly every day and would love to try them once more. My favourites were the beef flavour ones, and I recall having to lick your fingers for ages after eating them to get all the small bits that were stuck to them off! None of today's crisps and snacks are a patch on potato puffs.

Although burtons make Fish & Chips they are no where near as good as Potatoe Puffs, I can still smell and taste them now! Best snack ever!!!

Yes please bring them back. I loved cheese and onion. I told my son about these and he would love to try them. If these came back out wouldn't eat any other crisps but puffs x

I decided to write to the manufacturer and am pretty impressed at their speedy response (10 mins after I contacted them!) Sadly they are not bringing them back but thought I would share the reply
Thank you for contacting us regarding Potato Puffs.
We are pleased to hear that you were a fan of Potato Puffs, which we stopped producing 1990’s, due to declining sales. Although we are thrilled that you and many others enjoyed them very much, we have no plans at present to bring them back as unfortunately we no longer produce potato based or fried snacks, and do not have access to the machinery required to produce them.
Our focus right now is on making a range of tasty biscuits like Jammie Dodgers and Maryland Cookies and baked cracker based snacks like our delicious Cathedral City Baked Bites and Fish & Chips which we hope may go some way towards filling the gap that potato puffs have left in your life.
We would like to thank you for taking the time to contact us; should you have any further feedback please do not hesitate to contact us.

I remember these, I used to buy them at primary school for 2p a packet (I am 53) I have just been reminded of them as a friend offered me a ready salted combo mix crisp and the texture and taste took me back and I realised they reminded me of potato puffs and then found this site, I expect they would be more like 60p now if they were still around

I loved these and think about them often. How I wish they'd bring them back. Maybe everyone here should contact them through their website. burtonsbiscuits.com/
