Banjo bars were about in the late 70's/early 80's and were just about the finest sweet I can remember. They came in two varieties: Roast Nut (blue and yellow wrapper) and Coconut (pink wrapper) but Banjo bars sadly vanished some time in the mid 80's :(

I see that due to the campaign that Cadbury's are bringing back Wispa, will somebody please start a bring back Banjo campaign!!! Peanut only as I don't like raisens!

Banjo's were ace! , they did dissapear in the late 80's . I remember working on a council estate when i was an apprentice and there was this grotty little paper shop , i couldnt believe it when i saw that they still had some of the red ones.Never seen them since , howerver if you buy a Peanut butter KitKat , close your eyes , the taste and the memories can come back !
