Baby Talk

Baby Talk was a doll that blinked her eyes while talking. She said lots of things like "I love you Mommy", "Turn me over", "I like to be picked up", "Feed me".

She also said "I love you Mommy, I'm sleepy, nite nite" closed her eyes and went to sleep! To wake her up you had to pick her up and she would start talking to you again.

My in-laws, are in their 80's and you wouldn't believe how much fun they have with her. She is a lot of company for them and they don't have to feed her or walk her!

Originally released by Lewis Galoob in 1985, the Baby Talk Talking Doll came with an all-in-one body suit. Around the back the velcro opening revealed the battery compartment for the doll. Unfortunately in 1987, Baby Talk fizzled out from the stores due to the expensive electronics required to make the toys. At the time, many toy companies were feeling the pinch from the recent release of the Nintendo and the $80 price tag was deemed too much for many. Galoob even dropped the price of the doll by 50% to attempt to pick up some extra sales.
