Andrew and Fergie's Royal Wedding

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

On July 23rd 1986 Prince Andrew married Sarah Ferguson at Westminster Abbey and they became the Duke and Duchess of York. The wedding wasn't quite as fairytale or high profile as Charles and Diana's but it was still a wonderful event watched by millions around the world.

Aged 10, I was on my first school trip away in the lake district. We were going to watch it on the big telly in the common room but the reception was so bad we couldn't see anything. I also remember worrying about the sheep having 'bad radiation stuff' after seeing things about Chernobyl clounds going over the lake district on Newsround.

I remember me and my cousin making a big scrapbook on this. We collected all the newspapers and magazines to the build up and did our arty farty bit with cuttings. For some reason I backed the scrapbook with a Shakin Stevens centrepage from the Look-In magazine.... of him building a snowman if I remember correctly!
