Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads?

Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads is my favourite TV programme ever. It follows on from the original series called "The Likely Lads" which ended with Terry joining the army. Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads starts when he returns and meets best friend Bob on a train.

Bob is the sensible one with a job, a wife and a nice new house. Terry is the lovable rogue who continually disrupts Bob's life much to the annoyance of wife Thelma and just about everyone else.

The BBC have refused to issue this on video or DVD but after years of searching I finally found it on Ebay. The discs must be copied (from where I have no idea) but the quality is excellent and I rate it as my best ever buy. I think everyone should watch this great show!

I had never seen 'The Likely Lads' but it doesn't matter at all - this series is wonderful in its own right. Some episodes have become real classics, such as when the boys are trying not to find out the football results. I saw a film not long ago (was there only one film?) which was absolutely hilarious. Terry's one-liners are priceless. He always had the best script. It's still on TV and I always catch it when I can. Classic.
