Strobe

This was an electronic game, popular in the 80's, and was first made in 1980.

It consisted of a circular console divided into four coloured lights- green, blue, yellow and red. Basically you had to follow the sequence of lights/sounds, which would get progressively longer and more difficult and the winner was whoever could follow sequence without making a mistake.

The concept was a little like the Atari game Simon but this game was more complcated as was the console.

Oh yes indeed! This was my favourite game by far! I loved it and wish i still had it for my kids. It was a bit like a blind electronic version of tennis so you could pass the light to any player without them seeing who you passed it to and as it gradually sped up, it made it very hard to follow the light. I can still remember the little tune it played!
