Ovaltine Chocolate Bars

Available only for a very limited time around the mid-80s, they came in a wrapper which reflected the design on the tins at the time, and they tasted a bit like a Bar Six dipped in Ovaltine. They were crunchy due to the granules of Ovaltine in the bars - which was also meant to make Ovaltine Chocoalte Bars the 'healthier' version compared to other chocolate bars.

I recall these when I was still at school, so that is 1973 and before! My cat Tinny was quite partial to a nibble as well (Tinny 'cos he was marmalade and white, and marmalade as far as I knew came out of a tin).

They're still on sale in Switzerland where they're very popular. I brought loads back to England but they've all gone now! I haven't seen them in the UK at all.

I used to buy a packet at the school tuckshop once a week. They were gorgeous tasting. They're still around I'm pretty sure.
