Matchbox made the Oh Penny range of toys which initially comprised a furnished dolls house with a family of five miniature people plus their pet cat and dog.
Later on Matchbox created more Oh Penny toys including a tree house, swimming pool, a barn and a creek to put around the house. The Oh Penny family also had a trailer for going on vacation!

Hi all,
I have lots of Oh Penny stuff that I am going to sell. The sets are all complete with original boxes. I have the shopping centre, milk van, post van, speed boat set, gymkhana set, car and horsebox set. I also have the treehouse which is missing the picket fence and has no box.
This stuff was what i spent every penny of my childhood on, so am holding on to some. If anyone wants any of this drop me a line

I loved Oh Penny and her brother Ben!! I had the house, treehouse, swimming pool, campervan and supermarket set. It was great, i wish i had kept it!!!

I wish I had all my Oh Penny things. I'm only 21, so wasn't born till 1987, and can remember having it when I was 7-8! I had the campervan, it was awesome... when you took the roof off and it turned into a kitchen dinner- very unrealistic, but so cool!!
I had the shopping mall, some houses, the pond with the park, the treehouse, I miss it all so much.
Did anyone never understand why the baby was almost as big as the parents, lol!!

I just bought off eBay UK the Oh Penny (Bluebird, UK) / Oh Jenny (Matchbox, US) treehouse in fairly mint condition, and almost in its entirety (minus the little birds that sit in the nest), and I LOVE this playset! I have so many good and happy memories simply looking at this playset; I remember spending one entire school / summer holidays just playing with the Oh Penny sets my sister and I had. We had this treehouse, the Three Gables mansion, the pool set, and also the small horse and carriage add-ons - and lots of different versions of Penny and her family, in different outfits. It took me forever to work out that what I had a child were actually the US versions of Oh Penny, made by Bluebird - the US Matchbox Oh Jenny dolls and playsets, even though Matchbox sold it to us here in Oz under its original name. I swear, I thought I was going nuts, trawling through eBay and other toy websites ... until I came across this fantastic resource! Did you know that the Oh Penny sets and accessories are also made to scale for Lego minifigs? That's double the play value for your sets!

I recently bought off eBay UK the Oh Penny (Bluebird, UK) / Oh Jenny (Matchbox, US) treehouse almost in its entirety - only minus the little birds that sit in the nest - and I love it! It's one of my most prized playsets with a lot of nostalgia / sentimental value. I also had the Three Gables mansion, plus the pool set, as well as the small pony and carriage add-ons. A secret: Lego-sized minifigs fit into these playsets! All accessories are made to scale for Lego minifigs! That's double the play value!

I'm 25 and I had it all too (house, pool, treehouse, farm, fair, shopping centre, limo, campervan, horsevan, wedding set) and today I got it all out so my neice could play with it. think I had more fun than her though!

i had the house, supermarket, pool, camper, ice cream parlor, tree house, farm, fun fair, loads tho i cant remember if i got the caravan in the end ill have to go look in the loft
