Potato Puffs were a sort of crisp manufactured by Burton Biscuits. The came in varieties of Ready Salted, Cheese and Onion and Salt and Vinegar. I'm sure that they have gone out of production now but who knows... if enough people remember them and still want them, there could be a Potato Puff revival! You have missed out the best one of all, tomato sauce flavour. Great taste and red fingers lol, ate them every day from 1959 to 1963.

I remember buying these for our lunch break at school and because they were so reasonably priced, we could have a Jammy Dodger as well.

OMG people!!!!!!! I am so happy to see this forum, I used to buy a bag of Potato Puffs, it was the red packet flavour, every day, they were so so tasty and that little packet was crammed full and seemed to last for ages! Great value for money, I was 6 years old at the time but its the taste I remember, you could actually taste the potato in these crisps. So glad to see so many other folk remember these crisps and how superb if someone started manufac them again!!!!!!! maybe a little chanting, spinning n praying....

I loved these...in the 60s on my way home from school...so cheap too! only 3d, I think for a packet. In the 60s they had Barbeque flavour, which was yummy!
I still miss them and look for them....and I'm 60 now!
What happened to Burtons?
M &S has started to do cheese flavoured
potato puffs...pyramid shapes, and the proper ingredients to make a potato puff, but I preferred the straw-shaped originals....and there's not much flavour in the M& S ones.
