Toys TOYS

Whiz Wheel

Whiz Wheel was a toy where you sat in between two huge wheels and on the inside of both was a crank that enabled you to control the direction of each wheel independently of the other. You could spin in a 360 degree circle as fast as your arms would let you, and end up completely dizzy. Or you could just go forward and backwards; and turn corners better than anything!

OMG I loved whiz wheel. I am only 24 but still remember the one we had at home!! The Krazy Kar that has been mentioned is not actually much like the whiz wheel I remember. We had like bike tires that were slightly smaller than average not huge plastic ones.

I remember them! I wish I could find one for my son who's 6. I've been thinking of a way to build one- perhaps using those disc wheels from a ten-speed bike (spokes could prove dangerous! :) Anyone know if they sell 'em anywhere? They still make Bigwheels- in fact there's a site out there that makes adult size bigwheels. No whiz wheels tho :(
