The Shoe People

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

The Shoe People was a cartoon from 1987 about an old cobbler shop where all the unrepairable shoes came alive after hours. They had their own village and I remember there was PC Boot and I'm sure there was also a pink ballet slipper.

Basically it was a show about shoes that come to life - what could be better?!

No, late 80s is right I think, Roxxy. (You've only had to wait a year to read that!) I remember the chocolate wrappers, which collectively told a story featuring the characters. Sh-sh-sh-sh-Shoe People!

Are you sure it came out as late as '87? I thought it was EARLY '80s myself, maybe there was a new series released later on... One of the prominent characters was an old scruffy tramp boot with an Irish accent and long straw hair- there was also a bad-tempered army seargent boot with a moustache as well.

The ballerina show was called Margot, and then there was the clown show who's name I can't remember! I've still got the story tapes on my bookshelf at home and I'm 22!! The shoe people rocked.
